Choose this if you want to keep your DNS where it is and add the records by hand.
1. Open your domain's DNS setup
- cPanel hosting: open Hosting, click your hosting, and in Websites click Connect next to the domain.
- WordPress hosting: open Domains, then click Finish DNS setup next to the domain.
Click Set up DNS myself. You see a table of records with copy buttons.
2. Add the records at your DNS provider
Log in where your DNS is managed and add each row from the table:
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| A | @ | your hosting's IP address (shown in the table) |
| CNAME | www | your domain |
| TXT | _hostbring | the hostbring-verify=… value |
Copy the exact values from the portal. Some hostings also show one more TXT record under cPanel access (recommended): add it too, so cPanel can take the domain.
On Cloudflare, set the website records to DNS only (grey cloud).
3. Check them
Back in the portal, press Check again:
- All set. Your domain is connected. You're done.
- We can't see the change yet. Wait a little; it can take up to 24 hours.
- Something doesn't match yet. Compare your records with the table again.
We also keep checking for 7 days and switch the domain to Connected by itself.
