This is the easiest way to connect a domain you bought somewhere else (GoDaddy, Namecheap, PKNIC and others). HostBring runs your DNS and sets up the records for your website and email.
1. Open your domain's DNS setup
- cPanel hosting: open Hosting, click your hosting, and in Websites click Connect next to the domain.
- WordPress hosting: open Domains, then click Finish DNS setup (or DNS settings) next to the domain.
2. Choose Configure on HostBring
Click Configure on HostBring. After a moment you see the two HostBring nameservers, each with a copy button.
We copy your current DNS records first, so anything already working (like email) keeps working.
3. Change the nameservers at your registrar
Log in where you bought the domain and find Nameservers (sometimes under DNS or Manage domain).
- Choose Custom nameservers.
- Replace all the nameservers there with the two HostBring ones.
- Save.
4. Wait for Connected
The change usually shows within an hour, but it can take up to 24 hours. We keep checking, and your domain switches to Connected by itself. You can also press Check again.
Once connected, cPanel hosting adds the domain to cPanel and switches SSL on for you.
