Your domain's DNS is the list of settings that tells the internet where your website and email live. To connect your domain to HostBring email, you add a few records to that list. First you need to know where your DNS is managed.
The quick way
Open your domain in the Email section. At the top we show "DNS managed at …" when we can detect it, for example Cloudflare, GoDaddy or Namecheap. Then open the matching guide:
If we could not tell
- Think about where you bought the domain, and where your website is hosted. DNS is usually at one of the two.
- Look up your domain's nameservers with a free tool such as ICANN Lookup. Enter your domain and look for "Name Server".
- The nameserver names usually show the company. For example
adi.ns.cloudflare.commeans Cloudflare,ns57.domaincontrol.commeans GoDaddy, anddns1.registrar-servers.commeans Namecheap.
Still not sure?
Ask whoever built your website, or use Send to my developer on your domain page. It gives them a link with every record they need to add, and nothing else from your account.
