Use this guide if your domain's DNS is managed at Cloudflare.
1. Open your DNS records
- Log in at dash.cloudflare.com.
- Click your domain.
- In the left menu, open DNS, then Records.
2. Add each record
Click Add record for each row below. Copy the exact values from your domain page in HostBring; they have copy buttons.
| Type | Name | Content / Target | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| TXT | _hostbring | the hostbring-verify=… value | |
| TXT | @ | the SPF value, for example v=spf1 include:spf.hostbring.com ~all | |
| CNAME | hb1._domainkey | the hb1-….dkim.hostbring.com value | |
| TXT | _dmarc | v=DMARC1; p=none; fo=1 | |
| MX | @ | mx1.hostbring.com | 10 |
- Name: type only the short name, such as
_hostbring. Cloudflare adds your domain itself. - CNAME: set Proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud) before you save.
- TTL: leave it on Auto.
3. Already have an SPF record?
If a TXT record at @ already starts with v=spf1, edit it instead of adding a second one. Two SPF records break email. Your domain page shows the exact combined value to use.
4. Do MX last
Add the MX record only after your new addresses are ready and your old email is copied. Then delete any other MX records, so all new email comes to HostBring.
When you are done, go back to your domain page and press Check now. Changes in Cloudflare usually show within a few minutes.
