Use this guide if your domain's DNS is managed at Namecheap.
1. Open Advanced DNS
- Log in at namecheap.com and open Domain List.
- Click Manage next to your domain.
- Open the Advanced DNS tab.
2. Add the TXT and CNAME records
Under Host Records, click Add New Record for each row. Copy the values from your domain page in HostBring.
| Type | Host | Value / Target |
|---|---|---|
| TXT Record | _hostbring | the hostbring-verify=… value |
| TXT Record | @ | the SPF value, for example v=spf1 include:spf.hostbring.com ~all |
| CNAME Record | hb1._domainkey | the hb1-….dkim.hostbring.com value |
| TXT Record | _dmarc | v=DMARC1; p=none; fo=1 |
- Host: type only the short name. Namecheap adds your domain itself.
- TTL: leave it on Automatic.
- Click the green tick to save each row.
If a TXT record at @ already starts with v=spf1, edit it to the combined value shown on your domain page. Do not add a second SPF record.
3. MX record (do this last)
In Namecheap, MX records live under Mail Settings on the same tab.
- Set Mail Settings to Custom MX.
- Add an MX record: Host
@, Valuemx1.hostbring.com, Priority10. - Remove any other MX records.
Then press Check now on your domain page. Namecheap changes usually show within 30 minutes.
