The portal keeps your cPanel username and password. You need them for FTP apps (such as FileZilla) and some tools. To open cPanel itself, you don't need them: use Log in to cPanel.
1. Show the login details
- Open Hosting and click your hosting.
- In the Login details card, click Show login details.
- Type Your portal password (for your security) and click Show login details.
You now see the Username, Password and the cPanel address, each with a copy button. They hide again after 5 minutes, or click Hide now.
Viewing them is recorded, so you can see if anyone else did.
2. Connect with an FTP app
In FileZilla or a similar app, use:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Host | your domain, or the cPanel address without https:// and the port |
| Username | your cPanel username |
| Password | your cPanel password |
| Port | 21 (FTP) or 22 (SFTP, if enabled for you) |
Upload your website into public_html (or public_html/yourdomain for an added website).
