Do I need to move my domain or website?
No. Only your email moves to HostBring. Your domain and website stay where they are. You add a few DNS records that we give you.
How long does connecting take?
Usually under an hour after you add the records. Some providers take a few hours. Your domain page checks by itself and shows each record's status.
When should I change the MX record?
Last: after your addresses are created and your old email is copied. See Move your old email.
Where do I read my email?
At webmail.hostbring.com, or in any mail app: Outlook, iPhone Mail, Gmail on Android or Thunderbird. See the app guides in this help center.
What are the mail app settings?
| Server | Port | Security | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Incoming (IMAP) | imap.hostbring.com | 993 | SSL/TLS |
| Outgoing (SMTP) | smtp.hostbring.com | 465 (or 587) | SSL/TLS (or STARTTLS) |
| Incoming (POP3) | pop.hostbring.com | 995 | SSL/TLS |
The username is always your full email address.
How much can I store?
It depends on your plan, and the storage is shared by all your addresses. See How storage works.
Are my emails backed up?
Automatic monthly backups are included on Pro, Premium and Ultimate. On those plans you can request a restore from an address's page. On other plans, upgrade to get backups.
Is there a setup fee?
No. There is no setup fee on any plan or billing cycle.
Can I send newsletters?
No. Bulk and marketing email is not allowed. See Sending limits.
What happens if I don't renew?
You get a 7-day grace period. Then the email service is suspended: logins and sending stop, but new email is still received. After 30 days of suspension, your email data is permanently deleted.
Can one domain have two email plans?
No. Each domain can be on one email plan. To use several domains under one login, choose an Email Multi Hosting plan.
