SSL gives your WordPress website the padlock and https://.
1. Find the SSL status
Open Domains and look at the domain, or open its page. You see one of:
- SSL active: done, nothing to do.
- Activate SSL: click it to switch SSL on now.
- After your domain is connected: finish the DNS setup first. See Connect your domain to WordPress hosting.
- Managed with your DNS provider: your DNS is elsewhere, so SSL is set up there or by our team.
2. Activate SSL
For domains on HostBring DNS, click Activate SSL. It shows Activating… and then SSL active, usually within a minute.
3. Still no padlock?
- Refresh the page with Ctrl+F5 (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).
- In WordPress, go to Settings → General and make sure both addresses start with
https://.
If it still doesn't work, open a support ticket.
