You can change your domain's DNS records yourself in the portal when HostBring runs its DNS: domains bought from HostBring, and domains connected with Configure on HostBring or your own Cloudflare.
1. Open the DNS records
- Click Domains in the menu.
- Click your domain's name.
- Scroll to DNS records.
If you see "managed at another provider", your DNS is elsewhere: change records there, or connect the domain with HostBring DNS.
2. Add a record
- Click Add record.
- Pick the Type:
| Type | Use it for |
|---|---|
| A | Point a name to an IPv4 address (another hosting's IP) |
| AAAA | Point a name to an IPv6 address |
| CNAME | Point a name to another host name (like shops.myshopify.com) |
| MX | Where email is delivered (lower priority is tried first) |
| TXT | Verifications and email rules (SPF, DMARC) |
- Name:
@means the domain itself,wwwmeanswww.yourdomain,shopmeansshop.yourdomain. - Fill in the value and click Add record.
3. Edit or delete
Use the pencil to change a record or the bin to delete it. Records like NS can't be changed here.
4. When it works
Changes usually work within minutes; some networks take up to a few hours. Every change is recorded, and our team can see it if you need help.
