Google Search Console, Google Workspace, Facebook Business, Bing and many other services ask you to prove you own your domain with a TXT record. You can add it in a few seconds.
1. Copy the value
In the service, choose the DNS / TXT record method and copy the value. It looks like google-site-verification=… or facebook-domain-verification=….
2. Add it
- Click Domains and open your domain.
- In DNS records, click Add a verification record.
- Paste the value and click Save.
The record is added to your domain itself (@). Your other records are not touched.
3. Verify in the service
Go back to the service and press Verify. If it says it can't find the record yet, wait a few minutes and try again.
TipThe service asks for a CNAME instead (some Bing and Microsoft checks do)? Use Add record, type CNAME, with the name and target it shows.
